ahah. Windows is such a mess of multi generation uneven crap that I gave up any hope for it. They just don’t care and they will never care.

When I talked about COSMIC consistency, I meant regarding visuals, workflows, but also naming schemes, and update cycles.

An easy solution to that is to not constrain yourself to Wayland. Then GNOME suddenly doesn't look quite like the only (pretty crappy) option.

With Gnome, I can't play Proton games correctly when using the Wayland session, whereas I don't have any issue when using Plasma on Wayland.
May I ask what gfx driver and kernel you are using? Im curios because mesa + gnome and a rather recent kernel was always working great ( in my cases) with AMD and Intel across multiple distros

Still windows 11's UI and settings are less confusing and looking better than whatever kde and gnome are providing.

After several years on Mac and then Linux I have to disagree. On a windows machine I feel restricted and limited. Because I do not have multiple workspaces and no autotiling. The reason why people tend to feel "home" on windows is because the majority of us have been socialised with windows. Its like the food of your childhood....but after a while you might figure out that ketchup + spaghettis and a icecreame are not the most tasty food out there.

You mean the 5 percents UI they care about... because 95 percent of the system UI is still from 98/xp/vista...
