One notable improvement in this version is lower gpu utilization on Wayland. Users of weak gpus or on big screens who previously saw frame drops should see visible improvements, others will see slightly lower power usage. Requires gtk 3.24.25 though, see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1668805

      Nice release.
I always use Firefox with Strick tracking protection. It does break something on the website sometimes. But it maintains privacy by putting off trackers.
I hope new the new "smart block" doesn't loosen up that security. Overall, this new concept looks promising.

Of course avif is cancelled oh well. though I am curious how many bugs can crop up from trying to implement an a image in essentially a video container... oh well, back to chromium as usual

I miss the days when Firefox had sane default settings. Nowadays, after a fresh installation, you have to manually go turn off so much trash, like their "Pocket" propaganda feed, privacy-violating telemetry collection, and sponsored adware.
