Two weeks ago with Wine-Staging 6.1 it was at nearly 800 patches atop the upstream Wine code-base while for Wine-Staging 6.2 it has fallen to just a 669 patch difference...

Please make Red Dead Redemption 2 Rockstar Games Launcher version just work with Vulkan in wine-staging.

According to the notes it is temporary as some patches need to be redone and rebased following Upstream changes. Therefore the number will probably increase again in the future.

Wine-Staging 6.3 Drops Down To 420 Patches

Hmmm, they could make it so the Rockstar Launcher also installs correctly on newer wine versions. (unless that's something exclusive to newer proton versions).

I know howto work around such issues (install with older version first obviously), but countless people get snagged on that process.

It actually works now even in regular Wine 6.4. =)
