Strange. All these years I heard Nvidia drivers were the best, how come it have problems with a browser? I am sure this is just a fluke and Nvidia is still the way to go on Linux.

You know I like FF. But, it is so slow to launch on Ubuntu as compared to Brave or Chrome. Any idea why?

I've used the official version since forever. And it's safer too as you don't depend on your distro updates schedule and maintainers.

Oh, nevermind, there we are.

Well, at least the breakage isn't by default this time, unlike their stripping out the "disable image loading" data-saving option from the standard settings, or their complete failure to fix the long-standing bug that Javascript-loaded images completely bypass the buried permissions.default.images setting (see even a simple Google search engine result to see this), or not bothering to ensure their new browser on Android has working security extensions or standard features before forcing the upgrade on everyone, even after the backlash and massive userbase loss from when they pulled the same thing on PC.

Mozilla is long-lost due to systemic leadership failures beyond even the scope of this comment, and the Firefox forks don't have the dev knowledge or numbers to even keep up with mainline-- or do anything beyond pull security patches.

Meanwhile, Google gets to eat their lunch and destroy decades of work fighting to de-propritarize the Internet! Chrome is the new IE6, with websites not rendering correctly outside of it, to boot.

The complexity in supporting Linux might have something to do with they keep fighting every one and going in their own direction. Their wayland support is fundamentally broken, since EGLStreams is not really compatible with the wayland design.
