This is not funny. In fact, this is clearly unacceptable even for a joke.

I think ut was suite funny, and a apt reply to do blatant troll using personal attacks and all.

Obviusly it's not (your passiv aggressive trolling aside), they are strongly comitted to privacy. It has been one og their main focus tasks the last three years. https://phabricator.kde.org/T7050
So I'd say you should recommend everyone to consider using it.

Nate...many of us here really appreciate you and the KDE team dedication. Do not fall into the trap that these people set.

I don't know, it's pretty acceptable to me.
On the other hand, assuming conduct of an entire team based on one statement (unofficial at that), isn't.

I did precisely that for a couple of years. Either the forums cleaned up in the meantime or my crap tolerance went up, but now I can read the forums again.

If Michael wants to fix this, I'm happy to try and help out however i can.

I have debated with me several times already if I want to opt-in for the full, lifetime membership here on phoronix.

Alas, to be frank, I always got shy and backed away from that idea, jut because if the acceptance of trolling from Michael's side stays as it is today, I fear phoronix will be dead in a few months, drowned in shit because of the plenora of trolls that roam freely.
So while I enjoy the articles, while I am willing to give Michael something back in return for them I consider membership a bad deal for me because I think phoronix will soon degrade and die because of all the trolls here.

Prove me wrong or at least finally snap to action, then money will flow.

Blocking users was broken for a while. It may still be, I'm not using that because if you block a user you still see messages quoting their posts and, imho, it makes the thread look even weirder.

What can we do to fix this?

Are you willing to add people to become mods? Can you at least update the forums to allow blocking users? Would it take a certain monetary amount in order to make that happen, because i think there are enough frustrated people here that we could make it happen.

The only thing you have succeeded in doing here is making yourself look like a complete idiot who possibly requires professional help and I suspect there has been some sort of life event that has pushed you over the "psychological" edge. There are people out there that can help people like you, all you need to do is reach out.
