      I was always forced to resize the system tray icons via editing some config file in the user directory. They always appeared too small on 4k screens.

          Wow, just checked again with plasma 5.18.3 on arch with wayland session and everything I tested work fine :P (megasync, qbittorrent, hexchat). When I've last tried it nothing I tested worked. So, maybe the applications fixed themselves or maybe there was a bug with early 5.18.0 plasma that got fixed.
