  • Strange issue with Gnome's Night Light and Redshift

    Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone has come across this issue. With either Gnome's Night Light (on xorg or wayland) or Redshift everything gets color-adjusted properly except pure whites. So there's essentially a bunch of reddish/yellowish everywhere except the input box here in the forum for example, or the URL bar, or any program, Qt included, with pure white -- and the white ends up as this nearly blinding, headache-inducing bright contrast.

I'm currently seeing this on the open source radeon drivers (Mesa 18.3.0-devel - padoka PPA) and haven't tested others. I think I've run into it with the intel drivers on KDE Plasma + redshift as well but I'll have to verify when I'm at that computer.

Is this a known issue? I would love to report a bug if I can figure out where to report it to and what information to give.
