      No, it doesn't, and it hasn't since the release of KDE frameworks. All it means is that it needs at least some KDE frameworks to run.

        Alright, let me ask you then: what's Krita using on Windows and macOS then? Are the KDE Frameworks that well ported to those platforms these days? It's even on the Windows App Store, does the WAP even allow bundled frameworks?

          Well, yes, they are. It's not worth any worry anymore. Now, Android, that's a bit of a frontier.
