      - The FreeBSD Desktop group is up to working on AMDGPU/i915/Radeon DRM code ported from the Linux 4.9 kernel.
      Not exactly, NOT 100% in par with Linux 4.9
      You can have gfx acceleration with a Kaveri based system and Linux with 4.9 kernel, but no way under fBSD 12.0 , it just goes to vesa .
      FreeBSD gfx accel is lagging 3-4 years. OTOH DragonFly BSD has better support and gfx acceleration even for Kaveri APUs.
