Linux is the best kernel out there and the rest of OS is at least very good: GCC (this one is also best), KDE, Unity, Gnome. An only thing that sucks is X.org. GNU is FAR better than BSD user space and BSD depends on Linux desktop environments. It seems BSD is only used by you, Vim_User and Sergio. Only the most stupid one will win the last man standing tournament. I didn't choose my favorite yet, but I bet it will be Vim_user.

Nice try, but your example has flaws: Linux is newer than BSD and what you wrote was correct years ago when BSD was dominating over Linux. Linux proved to be superior and that's why it replaced BSD.

If you are going to use a market share argument to determine "superiority", then you also must accept windows is "superior" to Linux.
