KDE is just such a power-user oriented desktop environment. It feels like it is the "true" Linux desktop environment, since most of the Linux userbase is power users. Glad to see this move - definitely in the right direction.

Amazing decision, one desktop environment aimed at being the de facto and universal Linux DE needs to provide features to all Linux audiences like to the conventional users, tiling users, touch screen users, accessibility assisted dependent users. The KDE project is closing the gaps usable by all the possible concurrents to attract and retain users, kudos to everyone involved.
Looking forward at how it remembers the layouts and windows mapping within it.Last edited by ⤐⤐⤐⤐; 03 December 2022, 05:37 PM.

That's called progress. You need to be aware of the latest DE fashion and merge / discard cool/lame features. Since KDE uses C++ and MOC, they just need 10x more manpower and time to implement these things without segfaults and memory leaks. Somewhat related: memory bugs went down on Android thanks to the switch away from the languages KDE is using, source https://security.googleblog.com/2022...ndroid-13.html
It doesn't pass the prima facia tests of a simple look and think.
