The Bible has the answers for man living a good and truthful life.

I'd contest the claim that "the Bible" exists.

It was the monotheists who introduced the idea “my god is the only true god, all other gods are false”. The roots of religious intolerance can be traced to this one idea: get rid of it, and I think we will all stand a better chance of living together in peace.

This is a self-preservation mechanism of a meme. Religions who don't have it are going to lose out against those who do.
Similarly. memes have other self-preservation mechanisms like discouraging followers from questioning dogma (ie. making it a sin to have doubts about certain things).
