Sure but not really worth it to compile the kernel modules and get rid of PA at this point. I'm hoping the syscall reduction optimizations will help with CPU usage but dunno. I only have limited amount of time and can care about limited amount of things

At some point companies are going to quit f**king around and actually make Linux a first class citizen. Systemd is a step in that direction. Along with GL-Next.

If you have a problem with systemd then fix it yourself and submit a patch or just use PClinuxOS.
      What a lie and misunderstanding!!!
NO systemd isn't that you want!
      Sorry.
maybe some fork of systemd without anything else exept init system.
The fun will start very soon with enforce of networkd

You don't have to try it to know the ideology sucks.

As far as I'm concerned, GRUB was long ago dispensed by gummiboot and syslinux (if you prefer MBR BIOS booting). But the answer is no, you can continue to use GRUB if you like; this is another optional module.

I was joking that using the toilet sink is optional, just like how using many of systemd's components is optional (mentioned earlier in the thread, or in a different thread, I dunno; every systemd article here seems to invoke the same tired reactions over and over again).

ooh I'm calling this here, sometime in the new future:
Richard Stallman worried that there's a conspiracy to replace GNU software with systemd.

I don't need to run the software to be aware of the politics and decision making behind it. That alone is enough to turn me off. You'll notice my argument makes no claims based on technical details, or at least technical specifics of what exists now.
