      I like both logo's, but X.org isn't just teenage gamer tech, so it needs more seriousness; sporty, but 'business ready', if you catch my drift

                    Additionally it might come in handy to know what they're searching for to prevent wasting time on either side.
                    I think of boundary conditions such as a rough color palette and what they actually want the logo to include.
                    Just a replacement for the "X" or should it contain ".Org" or even the full blown "X.Org Foundation", etc...?
                    Those are things that can be thought of in advance.
                    If they haven't made up their mind yet, XDS might be a perfect opportunity to do so.


                    Leaving aside artistic freedom and good external ideas, it's a known fact that the more precise you ask,
                    the higher the chances are to get useful answers.
