Wayland/Weston 1.7 Release Candidate

Is there a roadmap for Wayland/Weston, regarding how much is still left to be done for it to be considered "feature complete"? Of course, there is always something to be done, but in regards to being a functional replacement for Xorg (not counting XWayland) I mean.

If 1.7 seems to be slowing down the development, are we to interpret that as it is reaching maturity and stability now?

Weston does not autodetect keyboard layout.
You have to manually configure it in your weston.ini configuration file.

Weston can not set the launcher bar to the bottom. You can only have it at the top.

how would it autodetect? x11-based environments don't autodetect - they ask.

bottom is not a valid value. Can only be 'top' or 'none'.
When specifying 'bottom' then none is shown.

That is funny, all my systems run with en_US locale, while I am typing this on a keyboard with German layout. So what you propose would give me the wrong keyboard layout. There simply is no way to reliably detect the layout.
