Phoronix: XWayland Multi-Buffering Lands To Avoid Stuttering / Tearing

This is a nice step to bring XWayland apps closer to the Wayland "every frame is perfect" paradigm. It needs some help from the compositors, though. For GS see https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutte...e_requests/942 and https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutte...e_requests/855, which, with the XWayland patches here, will make it possible to avoid most of the glitches people see at the moment (black rectangles on startup/resizing etc.)

It would be a nice step if there would be a new release of xorg. So far we are stuck with an outdated XWayland.

So when these two MR's land, the next version of gnome will be really awesome when running with xwayland 1.21.
Hopefully both will happen before Fedora 32.

Done. No more propa on a X thread.
              This thread will remain 144Hz-free.

How did you do this? And how can we do it for every thread on Phoronix??
