Too many plays on words.

Vulkan is spelled like Vulcan, the roman god of the forge, which have anvils, which shorten to anv, which is a nice three letter prefix. It may also stand for Antelope Valley, which is a two-word place in California, and therefore looks a lot like an Intel codename. :)

Perhaps Bas can explain Turnip.
