  • How to use nvc0 for OpenCL ?

    Hello!

I can see on mesamatrix.net that nvc0 could support OpenCL1.1, but I have never seen an OpenCL device for my NVIDIA cards. I have the GF117, GK208 and TU102 chips.

Is there a special setting needed so I can see the OpenCL device ? Do I need a different chip (GPU generation) ? Or does it only work if I compile mesa myself ?

I found the answer from nouveau mailing list: it is NOUVEAU_ENABLE_CL=1 environment variable. But I see this variable is undocumented, and the resulting OpenCL device immediately showed other errors. Although there are some simple cases like clpeak where it sometimes works.
