    Phoronix: NVIDIA's Open-Source DALI Reaches Version 1.0

Announced nearly three years ago by NVIDIA as one of their open-source projects was the DALI library for GPU-accelerated data augmentation and image loading. The DALI library today reached the v1.0.0 milestone...

What hardware is it targeting? They are no longer selling any GPUs.

      Only CUDA support? Boring.
Wake me when it uses sycl or vulkan.

Will be DALI implemented in nvidia drivers?

Looks like it's specifically for people using NVIDA GPUs only. Not sure how it can speed up data loading, except by storing the data in a ready to use format that can be loaded straight into GPU memory without CPU processing. (Or maybe the preprocessing stage gets it ready). Either way, this sounds like it's limited to supporting specific kinds of data only, among other limitations and caveats.
