Definitely better off with the 1060. I've built a computer recently with it paired with an i5 6500 and on 1080p games play like a dream, triple A titles easily hit upper 60’s and sometimes even 100s. The 15inch screen will be solid, especially since laptops are closer to your face since a monitor (depending on your setup). You could always purchase an external monitor as well.
But long story short, the 1060 is an amazing card for the price and will last you much longer than the 470, not to mention the better performance. It's important to note that more VRAM doesn't mean that a card is better.
