    This is a bit ambiguous to me. Is the audio coprocessor (called asoc in your patch) identical to the dsp used in trueaudio?

      I'm a little confused, is this an accelerated audio codec? I guess what I mean is, does ACP mean that mixing is done in dedicated hardware? If not, what does an audio co-processor mean?

        ACP has several parts: a DMA engine, a DSP, and a i2s codec interface. This code implements support for the DMA engine and the i2s codec interface.
