Migrated towards Intel/AMD, but if AMD drops open driver, I will have to move back to nvidia for 3D. :/

Intel loads firmware at boot stage. This is not free hardware, its proprietary hardware with free driver.

Like 7 years ago, free/libre Radeon drivers still require proprietary firmware to run (3D acceleration, DPM, video decoding).
