[R600] Performance loss after switching from Ubuntu13.10+Edgers to 14.04+Edgers/Oibaf

Hi,

Since I was stuck with a slow connection for some time I only upgraded to 14.04 + Edgers today, and from a configuration that ran many games perfectly all I get now is either software rendering or something close to it. No VDPAU either.

Here's my glxinfo output:

OpenGL vendor string: VMware, Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: Gallium 0.4 on llvmpipe (LLVM 3.5, 128 bits)
OpenGL version string: 3.0 Mesa 10.4.0-devel (git-4eb2bbe 2014-09-20 trusty-oibaf-ppa)
OpenGL shading language version string: 1.30

R600_DEBUG=llvm or R600_DEBUG=sb doesn't make any difference, nor does Oibaf's PPA. I'm on a 3.16 kernel.

Any idea what could have gone wrong?

Ah nevermind I found the problem.

xserver-xorg-video-ati wasn't installed, and the "fbdevhw" driver was used instead. I was mislead by the glxinfo output and the fact that it's not vesa which is used anymore.
