  • AMDCCCLE still thinks I'm using 10.11?

I've run into this problem before, but I was able to fix it after uninstalling/reinstalling (in some sequence of actions that I cannot duplicate apparently). Essentially, I have installed the latest 10.12 fglrx drivers. Before doing this, I uninstalled 10.11, rebooted (had to go into safe mode to get back to a command prompt), installed 10.12 from the packages built by the installer, ran aticonfig --initial -f, then rebooted again. The desktop loads fine, graphics acceleration works (with tearing as always - I can never seem to figure that out).

However, if I open amdccle, the information page says I am still using the 10.11 catalyst version, and the "8.791-101026a-107894C-ATI" packaging version. So...what steps am I missing with the installation, or is this information page showing incorrect information for some reason?

You have to stop gdm or kdm, then

    rm /etc/ati/amdpcsdb

then you can start it again.
