  • Force display output during boot for radeon kms

    Hi Guys,

I've got a laptop with Mobility Radeon X1300 running Ubuntu 10.04 AMD64 with 2.6.32-25-generic. I am using stock radeon kms driver. The laptop has VGA output which is connected to LCD monitor as well as standard internal lmvds connector to built in pannel.

How can I force the video signal to be directed to VGA output only? Is there a boot option for that?

Happy Thanksgiving for those in US!

    Best Regards,

    Here you go: http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/KernelModeSetting
Scroll down to the bottom where it talks about forcing modes. Don't worry about it being the nouveau site, this stuff is about KMS.
