I have 2.85 (IIRC) on the Kubuntu 22.04.1 installation (Debian package) and 3.4 everywhere else (downloaded from blender.org). But it seems that maybe Blender isn't the most definitive arbiter of whether a GPU driver stack is operating correctly and fully, in particular regarding gpgpu computation. Thanks.
i lost track of blender's migration for amd support to make a better answer, i wouldnt use or care about obsolete blender versions, but still not sure if the replacement is fully enabled yet

are you going to be using blender or is it just a driver test? i would test what i'd want to use such as tensorflow, upscaling algorithms, etc

https://www.phoronix.com/news/Rusticl-RadeonSI-Near there's also this that was posted a day after you, maybe certain paths are quite close to 'ready'

i was also under the impression that rocm wasnt ready for rdna support?

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/GPGPU boy that's a lot of acronyms and packages to figure out... but check that handy list of accelerated software to test
