Small test: In Heroes of the Storm with DXVK on RX 580, radv is still faster than amdvlk.

I think it is a mixed bag. The DXVK dev is still using a polaris card which only gets marginal benefit, and per the follow-up article Batman has no significant benefit (https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pa...ADV-4.20-Boost), but e.g. for me SotTR on DXVK on proton has a ~20% benefit, so I guess it is somewhat of a mixed bag.

The two-line patch had an issue (it accidentally changed the memory alignment of both the virtual and physical memory, rather than just the virtual memory).
It was replaced by this four-line patch that has the same performance increase but only aligns the virtual memory: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/263750/

I tested it with The Witcher 3 in Wine+dxvk using Vega 56. I didn't see any difference. I got same 80 fps at 1920x1200 in the saved location.

I suppose some games can benefit more.
