    There will always be exceptions, but then again it's often easier (and cheaper) to just go out and buy a supported device.

    just my 2 cents.

    In a nvidia changelog? Na, there has been many in the past, seen many instances like this in linux, os x, windows, oss, prop. Every once and a while you hit a combo of site coding, flash, drivers, etc that show wierd crap. Nothing new.

    lol..

    Ah.. You can't always stay idealist, don't you?
    There's too much 'x' factor to take account to.
    Code:
    switch (x) {
      case 'job': print 'well, our majority consumer have an closed source
                  xx OS and yy driver. What else can I do?';
                  break;
      case 'money': print 'well, I don't have that much money to bet on
                    non-working card. I've done it before, and I regret
                    that decision. If not the rest, then It's only me that
                    don't have much time to tinker my machine. Then again
                    I only have one machine to rule them all (for experiment,
                    for work, for game, etc).
                    break;
      case 'support': print 'my primary need (game or the like) simply don't
                      exist on my favourite open source platform. hm..';
                      break;
        .
        .
        .
      case xxyy : ................
                  break;
      default: print 'well, for this section I absolutely accept the say that
                      "we don't need closed source sh*t" :)';
    }
    Me too, an idealist not a long time ago (and still for other thing), but that is kinda foolish i think.

    ..but it's true, if the others on one way forced to have to use open source whatever, then we'll see a major improvement on open source side.

    cheers.
    just my 2 cents.
