Except RTX 3050 is miles better than the comparable failure called RX 6500XT which is basically RX 570 for the same price 5 years later with twice as little RAM with a slightly higher performance and lower power consumption. Talking about "progress".

It's miles batter, yet still crap. Sums up the status quo quite nicely.

The low end cards are often rebranded old cards. E.g. add one to the first digit, remove one from the second. Radeon 460 and 550 are almost the same. Sometimes they've dragged the same old tech for 3-4 generations.

Millions of people would be glad to game on this "crap" and they will if this card is to be available at MSRP. It's a lot faster than GTX 1650 and it has DLSS and some form of RTX. Probably will be able to run RTX titles just fine at 1080p 60fps DLSS quality mode which the RX 6500 XT will fail at completely. Not to mention 8GB of VRAM vs 4 and a 128 bit bus width vs 64.

i still find it funny people get excited about paying for a feature that reduces image quality. doesn't matter if it tries to be intelligent about it. its function is to reduce image quality and people clap like seals over it.

It won't be in the UK.
AFAIK the only way to get a Nvidia card at MSRP in the UK is to constantly check suppliers for Founders Edition cards. And there is no Founders Edition.
I'm going to guess at around £500. And the websites will still be full of listings for cards they do not have.
