  • How to use Intel Linux 1.0.8 driver installer on Ubuntu 14.04 lts? for gaming improv

    Hi there,
Was fiddling with the Ubuntu versions and Linux intel graphics drivers the other day.
Somehow the distribution release version text file change didnt work this time. So i re-installed 14.10 just to get the installer working. But apparently this version is still not that good for what im trying to do. And i think have to go back to lts. What i use normally.
What im trying to do is play DIII RoS, here a bit more on it: https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/+...82301795763897
Any suggestions on what is the easiest way to install intel linux graphics drivers on Ubuntu 14.04 lts?
    thanks in advance,
This seemed to me like the most appropriate forum to ask this question.
Sure ill be also googling further on it in some coming days, but maybe here someone can help, or i can share what i find,

    fixed it

    Hi guys,
    I have fixed it:
Finaly made it working without the fps lags and sound stutter. By taking 14.10 with intel drives (couldnt get them installed on 14.04). And then editing pulse config as described here https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManag...sion&iId=29952 and switching wine version from the one that POL installed 1.7.14 or something, to the 31 mentioned in the link. Voila
