    There is a lot of new hardware without USB4/TB. I kind of wish there was some simple standard that exposes a dumb plug for external PCIe and that's it. N, weird signalling, no USB back compat, just pure PCIe. There are riser cards that expose USBC plugs or even something frankensteiny like DVI but it's a bit of a hack.
