      Could work for you if you need to compress 4K content to something managable and small, but for 1080p and good image quality? Use VP9/H.265/H.264. Libaom (reference AV1 encoder) is insanely slow and isn't much better.
      I consistently get VMAF values over 95 with -qp 20 and -preset 7, you must be doing something wrong.
