Yeah, I've checked it: clinfo indeed shows image support for intel-compute-runtime on Linux.

Yes, they do support cl image. As does AMD.

I don't think that is definitive. Do you have clinfo installed? If so can you do clinfo |less and then search for Image. Your CPU will likely have Image support so you need to see if it is listed under the section for the GPU. In any case thanks for your input.
