    This OpenBMC is great, it makes provides an open source BMC which is great, but on the other hand, it sucks that the only ones getting open source firmware is Google, Microsoft and Facebook and the like.

    We private consumes with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware are still stuck with proprietary firmware and binary blobs. 😭️

      I wonder if the sudden activity has anything to do with the adoption of LibreBMC, based on work from Raptor Computing Systems?

      It would definitely benefit from this and it would be nice to see their fully open-source BMC (based on OpenPOWER Microwatt) be more widely deployed.
