      I don't know if your joking or now, but I was wondering the same thing since Intel seems to do a lot of spyware features these days.

          Wonder why it hasn't landed in https://sourceforge.net/projects/e1000.
          Intel usually starts by beta-testing the OSS drivers there, before pushing them upstream.

          Looking at the code, it seems to be a cheap multi-port, 2.5/5/10/25/40GbE.
          Drivers looks cleaner and leaner than i40e (700 series). No sure if its because the driver is in early stage of development or because its a "cheap" version of the 700 series.
