More, it needs more - and still feels like AMD need to be reminded - and to expand on Linux enhancements, improvements, but what really AMD need... is to build new chips with Linux-first in mind.

I wonder how many cycles it costs to read the counter? I can imagine one might attach a BPF program to sched_switch and account energy usage to individual threads, if the overhead isn't extreme.
