    RVV 1.0 (std), 0.7.1 (thead) or both? GCC got 0.7.1 support recently so both are possible.

      1.0.

      Non-ratified extensions are generally supported out of tree if at all. The focus for upstream is the official specification.

        Yeah but it still worth clarifying since there's quite a lot of 0.7.1 products around and new ones are coming out all the time.

          Are they really?

          Most recent announcements are 1.0 based.

          0.7.1 is effectively a custom extension, and it's only been implemented in C906/C910, which vendor has already replaced with V 1.0 (C908/C920v2/C930).
