    As far as I understand, the NPS setting is transparent to software. It's only multithreaded software which goes out of its way to set processor affinity that could potentially put a foot wrong and work badly with NPS != 1.

    In the case of NUMA-naive programs, they'll support NPS > 1 as well or as badly as Windows' scheduler does.
