Actually Atari VCS uses AMD embedded ryzen R1000 cpu cannot remember the exact model. And if you check the current prices for example udoo bolt its actually very competetive price for base unit specially at the cheapest model as you can upgrade by adding prob own so-dimms m.2/sata drivers etc.

Sadly there is lots of FUD against Atari SA (due to console "fan bois" and indiegogo backers) atm cause they switched to embedded model cpu from AMD previous generation APU (which would have been slower and depricated by the launch) that made their time frame for dispatch lengthen.
