      well i use arch/gentoo and is true gentoo is way more flexible but arch is very well done , rolling and binary. so if your pc is slow or you don't want to compile too much arch is perfect

            True, it would be great to have something as the combination of the two. Flexibility of gentoo with binary packages compiled for your desired arch...

                  I guess that was their long term plan anyway. As soon as the free driver is good enough. Til then - as an "intermediate" solution (even if it is for some years) have fglrx around to get things running from launch day on.
                  The problem with intel is that not everything labeled as intel is actually intel. Sometimes it is this hazardous waste from imagination technologies (PowerVR).

                      They only do that on Atoms. Any desktop/laptop CPU from them uses their own IGP.
