Linux 6.3 Adds ath12k Driver For Qualcomm WiFi 7 Hardware Support
The problem with Intel is the firmware is quite, uhm, restrictive. AP-mode is limited to 2.4GHz and. Changing regions only ever adds more limits on Intel, whereas Realtek doesn't care and will even let you do stupid things like blast 1W at 5GHz (to be fair, due to a driver bug that's been fixed by now). Not that I recommend doing this but I appreciate that I am able to use all channels the hardware supports in every region I find myself in.
It is allowed to radiate 1 W of power in the 5 GHz band. Not in all of it, but in some parts of it. It also depends on the country.
