Fwupd+LVFS Begins Rolling Out Firmware Update Support For NVMe SSDs
Problem is a fully open source UEFI/Coreboot/Linuxboot still does not remove need for fwupd for all the other hardware that has embedded firmware you need to update.
So in a lot of ways it would be good if Purism at least support fwupd to make updating device hardware as simple as possible..
Oh sure, I'm not saying that they don't need to support fwupd at all. It should definitely be supported, and installed out of the box.
