    Can you pastebin your X log and dmesg output ? I'm not sure if "kernel module unknown" is normal or not.

    Did you get 3D accel OK before adding the oibaf ppa ?

      "kernel module unknown" is normal.

      Output of this could also be interesting:
      Code:
      $ LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose glxinfo

        I testes this by ppa-purge ppaibaf/graphics-drivers and restore default in 14.04 and 14.10 and it does not restore 3D Acceleration.

        Sadly i can not tell wen did it happen because i mostly do 2D-Desktop stuff and only sometimes i play Dota but in the past maybe 1-2 month ago Dota works well.

        The only problem Steam always uses outdated .lib files so i have to remove them like this: rm ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/i386/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6

        /var/log/Xorg.0.log

                If you only use deb packages, then look into /var/log/dpkg.log to get idea when/why you lost that one

                Otherwise you can run debsums to check if you have some files from debs overriden.

                  thank you. but sadly the dpkg.log goes not back to the point were i lost the package.

                  second one: i don't think that i use anything what overrides deb files on the file system.

                  sure but i never used anything others than basic commands like::
                  apt-get update
                  apt-get dist-upgrade
                  do-release-upgrade

                  I never uninstalled the radeon package by hand.

                    You have other dpkg.log.xyz.gz archived, those should i think go as far as you first had installed your system
