Windows 10 vs. Ubuntu Linux With OpenGL/Vulkan On GTX 1060/1080 Ti & RX 580/Vega 64

Dota 2 with OpenGL at 1080p heavily favors the Linux drivers both for NVIDIA and AMD

When using the Vulkan renderer at 1080p, the Linux performance remained much better than Windows 10 though it is worth noting the Vulkan frame-rates were a few frames lower than using the OpenGL renderer/drivers.

When the graphics cards were more heavily stressed with 4K rendering, the OpenGL performance for the GTX 1060, RX 580, and RX Vega 64 were very similar between operating systems. It's with the GTX 1080 Ti though where surprisingly the Linux performance came in as much stronger than Windows.

With 4K and using Vulkan, it was the same story of the GTX 1080 Ti running much faster on Linux while the performance was similar on the three other graphics cards. Though given the small difference between the GTX 1060 and GTX 1080 Ti on Windows, it looks like on Windows there may be a driver bug causing abnormally slow performance in at least Dota 2 with these settings... That would also explain its performance so close to the RX Vega 64 rather than much faster as is normally the case.
