Dell Keyboard Backlight Support In Linux 4.1
Ending out the major pull requests for the Linux 4.1 kernel merge window was the platform-drivers-x86 updates that were sent in on Saturday.
The dell-laptop driver with Linux 4.1 will now support keyboard backlights on supported/newer Dell laptops. There's been patches around before for Dell keyboard backlight handling on Linux but were previously reverted.
The Toshiba ACPI driver has seen significant updates with Linux 4.1 with now having support for adaptive keyboard buttons, new hotkey support, USB sleep and charge support, updated backlight handling, and other clean-ups.
The other x86 platform drivers have seen other minor improvements with Linux 4.1. The pull request with all of the details can be found via this mailing list post by Intel's Darren Hart.
