    So this is only for niche(and presumably costly) hardware? Can't be used with existing NVMe drives from Samsung, Intel, Crucial, etc? Has Phoronix any plans to run benchmarks?(maybe this is useful? https://github.com/MatiasBjorling/lightnvm-fio)

    Curious how it compares performance wise to say Samsung 960 Pro 1TB NVMe(at least I think that's one of the current top performers?). Or is this type of device more suitable for catering to specific I/O tasks rather than raw read/write?
