I just took rc3 for a spin and the good news is that the VFIO passthrough error patch is included so all's well on that front.

The possible bad news is that there are some issues with my NVME drives. Both complain about the SUBNQN field, and my passthrough VM drive (nvme1 via the Phison controller itself) also has an APST feature failure, though the VM ran fine and it didn't get erased as it did with rc2. So it could possibly just be some kind of insignificant error because it's not in fstab, etc.

In any case I don't know what's up, and it's too late to look into it further or file a bug report tonight. So for now I'll just leave you with this heads up, and the dmesg output:

    [ 0.881260] nvme nvme0: pci function 0000:01:00.0
    [ 0.881331] nvme nvme1: pci function 0000:04:00.0
