Phoronix: UBIFS & OverlayFS Updates Hit The Linux 4.19 Kernel

For the Linux 4.19 kernel there's been a lot of F2FS performance enhancements and more, the new EROFS file-system, low-level Btrfs improvements, and more. Some of the file-system work less in the spotlight are the OverlayFS and UBIFS updates sent in this week...

You should probably create yafs2 or 3 or something. yafs already exists

        how about one of:
        NAFS: Not Another File System
Oh Gawd Not Another FS: OGNAFS (2nd gen NAFS)
        TERRABLE-FS: TERRAscale Block LEvel FS

I'm guessing this finally fixes the damn OverlayFS bug where a chattr would change even a (read-only) lowerdir. So it makes it safe to use even without squashfs or a true read-only FS as lowerdir.

How about: QINF: QINF Is Not a Filesystem

Choose your own first letter of course.

Please don't make it for flash, or you will collide with YAFFS (yet another Flash filesystem) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YAFFS

Which has seen production use, and is still in use, but somewhat less now that there is UBI with the UBIFS.

                It's Tera. Only one "r".
Terrable-fs sounds more like "terrible-fs" which makes me instantly think of NTFS, you probably don't want that.

I was also going for Terror (TERRA works quite well with the aussie way of saying things) so - terror, terrible, ntfs - all these things work together
"Guaranteed to lose some of your precious data" would be the slogan
"Always has spare space" would be a slightly more underhanded way of saying it!
