    Dave is a beast. He's been doing kernel dev for over 20 years. He's the guy who ported LInux to Sparc, and then again to UltraSparc, he wrote many of the network device drivers and much of the tcp/ip stack. Now he's bringing in widespread optimizations to make it all faster.
