how is it not called 'stealing' ???

you pick something that is free and open and you steal it, modify it slightly and then repackaged it and sell it for $2000 (the only reason people buy macbooks etc is because they have os x, if they had win7 they would just be another one in a long line of laptops)

No it's not stealing, but 'giving back' is a bit of a stretch when it comes to some things you listed, webkit was a fork of khtml which was LGPL-licenced so they had to 'give back', cups was an existing GPL-licenced printer solution which apple bought because they needed the functionality.

Darwin was open sourced but most of the code was licenced under 'apple public source licence' which is copyleft'ish and AFAIK incompatible with BSD (and of course with GPL) and as such the BSD projects which contributed so much to what made up OSX can't use the APSL licenced darwin code which Apple 'gave back'.

There was the community-based OpenDarwin project based upon the Darwin source release which shut down due to lack of developer interest, followed by PureDarwin which seems to share the same fate.

And what's with the BSD 'ghetto crackhouse' comment?

Unless the source of the kernel they use is also closed and derived from Linux, then their probably not locking anything that they're not allowed to.

Of course they shamelessly steal whatever they think is good.
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Crapple wasn't even able to come up with their own clock design so they stole it from the swiss railway company.

what for? some retards will keep working on bsd,x11, wayland and then all apple has to do is come and steal it.

wayland is not a replacement for x. it's a darn protocol. the compositor is the actual thing that takes the place of the x server. if you have a crappy compositor, then it's not "wayland's" fault.
